North Bristol Triathlon Club is an inclusive fitness club designed to motivate and empower people of all fitness levels to compete in Triathlons. Both novice and experienced Triathletes and multi sport athletes are welcome!

Our members come from all over the Bristol and surrounding areas, at all experience levels from those training to complete their first ever Triathlon or Multisport event, all the way up to experienced Ironmen and GB level athletes.

Decembers Training Plan

Please see the details for this moths club training sessions. Full details are available on the club Groupspace page. Please note that there are rides taking place during the week between Christmas and New Year.

The Boxing Day 10 is a 10 Mile Time Trial hosted by Severn Road Club that is a lovely local, friendly event that is a perfect introduction to Time Trialling. Please note for this one you will need to have registered with CTT (cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/) to take part, but as NBTC is affiliated with CTT this is a quick and painless process.

The ride on the 27th will be a nice and gentle club ride. A number of different route options will be prepared in advance, and we will chose one on the day depending on weather and numbers.

Club Autumn/Winter Training Plan

This is just a rough guide as to the sessions that are put on each week. Additional sessions may take place throughout the month. All club sessions can be found in the clubs Groupspace page under the events section. Basic details for the sessions are as follows:

Tuesday Runs. Meet inside Tesco Extra store in Bradley Stoke in the entrance by the Giant store. Session will vary each week dependant on people in attendance. Distances will be between 4 & 10 kms.

Thursday Swims. Open for all abilities, 4 week block is bookable for £26. Maximum of 20 spaces available each week, any spaces not booked as a block will be made available as pay as you go at £7.50 per week. Both block and PAYG places are available to book within the club Groupspace page. Please wear you costume under your clothes as we do not have access to the changing rooms before the session. Please park in the main car park, just beyond the main entrance to the school (if the school is on your left). Do not park in the car park outside of the main entrance as this is the staff car park.

Saturday parkruns. A number of club members regularly do one of the local and not so local parkruns. If you are running one, then make sure you post within the forum on Groupspace as I am sure that you might have some company.

Sunday Rides. These take place on an Ad Hoc basis throughout the month from various locations. Please keep an eye out on the Groupspace forum for details.

Please find the training plan for this month below. We are rapidly loosing light in the evenings so sessions may change towards the end of the month (we will keep you updated), but the plan it to move into our Autumn/Winter training plan come October.

If I can work out the logistics I have something a little bit fun planned for one of the Tuesday run sessions. So watch this space.
